Struble’s Marina was formerly known as Captain Tom’s way back in the 1930′s and 1940′s. What a place! I met one of the Struble relatives and he told me that this place was awesome during the 1950′s – 1970′s. (It’s actually really awesome now also!)
Wow! Except for the lack of air conditioning and television in the old days, this place had to be fantastic. I can only imagine that not having the distraction of television would have made the whole experience awesome. Back in the 40′s this place was at the end of a dirt road. Here’s a fun little history of the Cypress Creek area.
